Martha Stewart is not a personal friend of mine. I just allowed her to pose with me for a picture. Actually, I used to go to a trade show where syndicated television programs were sold to local stations. New York and L.A. producers brought in the stars to enhance success of their efforts. Usually, ordinary people stand in lines - as have I (time permitting) - to have their pictures made with celebrities. As for this shot, Martha was standing all alone off to the side, and, one of those happenstance moments, a friend with a camera took the shot. People
It seems that almost everywhere you go, the landscape is dotted with spectacular scenery - like Mt. Baker in Puget Sound. This is the panoramic vista we shared as we approached Anacortes, Washington, on a ferry ride from Victoria, British Columbia. Every now and then we've been lucky enough to spot animals in the wild - like this alligator. And we were ever glad it was swimming away from us, too. But there've been times when critters approached: a caribou, raccoons, an irate beaver intent on keeping us away from her den. The loon that landed right at our feet, then just as quickly, flew away. We've been fortunate to be able to shoot some homemade pictures of reptiles, birds, furry critters galore and other creatures we never thought we would see. Things
